Start out by checking the fluid level in the power steering reservoir and
making sure it is full.
If the power steering drive belt has more than 60,000 miles, it may be worth
changing it.
Check the condition of the u-joint of the steering shaft.
If all 3 above are good,, then try flushing the power steering fluid and
replacing with new fluid.
